Summer Enrichment
The Summer Career Enrichment Program is designed for students age 1422 to have opportunities for vocational exploration and skill building. The Program provides students with hands on work experiences in a variety of settings. Each student, throughout the course of the program, can experience two-three different types of jobs. Where indicated, students can be provided with an individualized work experience. In addition, weekly tours of area businesses are conducted which provide students with additional information about options for future employment. Three half days per week are set aside to work on skill building consistent with identified areas in the students IEP.
The Program operates for 6 weeks in the summer, Monday through Friday from 8:30am2:30pm.
Referrals for the Summer Career Enrichment Program are made directly by local school systems. The referring school system is also responsible for the program cost and arrangement of transportation to and from the program site.
